Make TOKYO the destination of your next school excursion!

An Ideal Place to Visit for an Educational Trip

Tokyo has been Japan's center of politics and economy for more than 400 years. It's full of the history, traditional customs, and craftsmanship handed down from generation to generation since the Edo period (1603-1837), as well as world-leading, cutting-edge technologies and designs. Many of Japan's leading architectural structures and museums are located in Tokyo.

        Student Interaction Program

Students in the international city of Tokyo look forward to having more opportunities to interact with overseas students of their own age. Please take the time to visit schools in Tokyo, even for a few hours, and let the students know about your country. This will also give the students in Japan the chance to re-appreciate their own culture while they prepare to welcome their overseas visitors with Japanese hospitality and inform them about our city and country. We're certain that the opportunity for students of different countries to spend even a short time together would enable them to better understand different cultures and the people who live there. This experience will, no doubt, constitute the first step in communications that will benefit them in the future.

        Ask Us

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau have been actively promoting Tokyo as a tourist and convention destination, communicating the attractions Tokyo has to offer, such as industry, technologies and its historical and cultural properties. Through such promotional activities, our aim is "Making Tokyo a dynamic and elegant global city." Please direct any inquiries to the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau if you are thinking of visiting a school in Tokyo during an educational tour in Japan but are wondering what the correct procedures are. We will not only introduce a school in Tokyo that you can visit, but will also work out the arrangements between your school and the school in Tokyo concerning the visiting program details. We will do all we can to help promote student interaction and to make this trip a memorable experience.
